Once you are a registered user, you can update your profile and provide other information and content that we may collect and use.

We may also collect and use information through your use of Service including, but not limited to, (i) your communications, whether directly or through a 3rd party website or network, to politicians, advocacy groups, other political entities, other users, and subscribers of the Service and (ii) use of site mechanism such as ratings, comments, reviews, petitions, direct messages, questions, and discussions and other content that you own or have the right to display and reproduce.

BEHUM takes no responsibility for protecting personally identifiable information that you reveal while posting content, comments, or opinions.

We use the Information We Collect to operate, maintain, and provide to you, other users and subscribers the features and functionality of the Service. Your real-name, email address, location information and other information we collect may be displayed and shared with politicians, advocacy groups, other political entities, other users and subscribers using the Service. Sharing this information is important because politicians and other users want to know they are connecting with real people and listening to authentic political opinions. Use of this information includes, but is not limited to, 1) helping you communicate with politicians and other users, including sending emails, sharing of 3rd party social networks, and completing 3rd party web-forms, 2)providing analysis, reports, and tools to politicians and other users so they can understand and respond to your ratings, comments, opinions and other communication 3) helping you influence the political discourse by sharing your opinions with other users and non-users through 3rd party social networks, 4) contacting you regarding the Service and political messages such as upcoming elections, important legislation, and opportunities for participation, 5) to conduct audits, research,and analysis to improve participation in the political discourse and improve the Service, and 6) to improve the technical functioning of the Service.

It is important to emphasize that the typical user experience involves a you sharing, sending, emails, or communicating with a politician, advocacy group, other political entities, other users and subscribers which results in the sharing and displaying a user’s real name, location information, email, social network id, and other social network information. This is necessary because we send your message via email, social networks, and 3rd party web-forms that require and display this information.

You may use the Service anonymously by not requesting us to send, share, email, or communicate directly with a politician, advocacy group, other political entities or other users. However, we will still aggregate your information and make it publicly available or make it available through a subscription. You may also still receive communications via the Service from political, advocacy groups, other political entities, other users, and subscribers.

Email Address. If you register with our website, from time to time, we may send you e-mail messages informing you of new features and services, special offers, updated information and political information. We also use your email address to send emails to politicians, advocacy groups, political entities and other users upon your request, usually after you to click “Send”, “Share”, or similarly labeled button.

ACCESSING AND CHANGING YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION

You can review the basic personal information you provided on BEHUM and make any desired changes to the information, at any time. To change information related or from to 3rd party social networks you may have to contact help@behum.com. You can also close your account by contacting help@behum.com. If you close your account, we will remove your name and other personally identifiable information from our publicly viewable data. We may retain certain data contributed by you if it may be necessary to prevent fraud or future abuse, or for legitimate business purposes, such as analysis of aggregated, non-personally-identifiable data, account recovery, or if required by law. All retained data will continue to be subject to the terms of the BEHUM Privacy Policy that you have previously agreed to.
